I completely agree, honey is a great remedy for a number of skin conditions, including scarring. Nonetheless, it is important to buy the right type. Raw, organic honey that has not been heated or filtered is the best kind to use.

How do you apply it? Mix well one or two teaspoons of honey with one or two teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil (equal amounts). Massage the mixture lightly into the scar and place a warm compress over the area. When the warmth completely cools (about 4 minutes), wash off the mixture. Repeat process periodically over the next few weeks or so. Afterwards, the scar should soften.

I hope this helps!

Honey is another great remedy for removing scars. If you apply it to the area and let it sit for ten minutes it should help. Rinse with cold water.

Use OTC lotion Mederma three times a day to fade scars. I have used this on several of my patients and have had great success.
