I had 3rd degree burns on about 30% of my body in Oct.98. They did apply the Integra and I did very well with it. I was 54 at the time.

I am a senior medical student from south africa, and because of the socio-economic reasons, burn wounds are fairly common, especially in the young patients. I am very interested in this subject and have started a research project in conjunction with a specialist pediatric surgeon in an elective period in my studies. I am particulary interested in the electrolyte disturbances during, after rescus. and post burn children. This is in order to identify problems with our treatment regimes and to optimize recovery and rescus. Any help in this subject would be greatly appreciated.
